Is this alowed?
Hi, in my guild (VoF best guild ever) I am incharge of the lottery. And the problem is that the pott this time will probably rise above 50k. So my question is this: How much tradeless money can I give without Anet thinking its illigal money trade (for real money)?
Thank you. |

screenshots are the best way to go. make sure you get both of your tags in the same pic to show you are in the same guild. they can check chat logs and if they see its a community event such as this, they will have no reason to ban, and you can always appeal

iv often wondered before when trading money between my accounts, but i dont think there is much of a chance.
if they looked at the chat logs, they would be able to see it was a lottery. i have traded about 400k + 500e in continous trades with my second account and none of them have been banned, needless to say if they were id go ape shit. |

I dont think that the detection system they have in place counts large amounts of money being traded without anything in return.

I doubt they'd refuse to reverse a ban they placed on you for such a thing. But you want to lessen the chance that some script running identifies you as a gold seller and, thus, better avoid having to appeal something in the first place.
Instead of just giving the winner the gold, why not trade the gold to the winner for some inconsequential item. Whoever wins, have them give you a tanned hide square (or something) in exchange for the gold. That way it's not a one-sided trade, and maybe that way a script doesn't flag your account(s) in the first place. It's what I would do. I'd take screenshots, too. |

chances are that you would never have any trouble at all - however people have been banned for "suspicious trading" - to be sure of avoiding even the appearance of that, just put a junk white item in for trade. That way there isn't a sum of money exchanging hands with no item to show for it.

Just have them trade a useless item when trading the money. It will just look like a normal transaction then.

atm, NO ONE besides a-net knows what the rules for this kind of thing are. People have been guesstimating but most are inaccurate. Its best to be safe on all sides, make sure to say something about this in chat take a SS.

Nobody knows, or has any idea how the detection processes go for illegal in-game trades. Unless you work for ncsoft, you. just. don't. Your best bet is to just have a screenshot, and if a problem arises, provide the screenshot with your appeal. I doubt you have anything to worry about, though. |
